The theatricons now arise
Harlequins are guests of honour (and mages!)
And Lo! What a dreadful masquerade
Such a ball of honoured horror
Remains to be beheld by eyes of blood
(and, surely, satyrical mud)

The masques are never ornaments without stamped fear
The perfect guise of hideous lust as seen through the mirrors´ flood
As vanity`s Buffoon swings in jests through the great-hall
Hoaxing all in awe and leaving awe in All!

The clinging serenade in shimmering aeons scripted
Draped in irony and sarcasm and true melodrama
All hail the voluptuous chimes of mockery
As the masques once again unfold
Forcing the purest glances to withdraw in manner bold

In Siglo XVIII, witness this operetta unveil
Like some mad custom of unshamed, untamed pride
A twisted vision of a moribund lunatic
Behold as the wicked theatre unfolds!
